Background: "Rawsheed started and founded the company in the spring of 2000 and I joined him as his partner six months ago. Rawsheed learned to be vegan and then moved to vegan raw from one of his spiritual teachers about 12 years ago and never looked back. I was taught to be vegan by the animals at The Gentle Barn, just over five years ago (my other venture with my fiancé Ellie). Ellie and I run The Gentle Barn together now. "Shannon started making what is now Parma! while trying to figure out how to make her allergy symptoms less severe and eating a vegan raw diet in the early 2000s.
